TrendSegments: Tales from the Trunk

While most of the world was anxiously awaiting a possible death sentence for American democracy last week, we must confess: We were not. Our attention was focused on coming up with better ideas to feature in Trendlines during a Gradient team reunion in the stunning countryside of Kenya.

Between Trendlines content generation sessions the team visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and adopted a ten-month-old orphaned elephant named Mzinga. One hundred percent of Americans across political parties agree: She’s pretty cute!*

Unlike the GOP mascot, we think our elephant is perfect and we wish her a happy, fulfilling life that can benefit from Social Security when she’s an old lady.

*This statistic is as fabricated as Dr. Oz’s “miracle” weight loss drug claims.
