Who remembers the Snapple facts craze of the early 2000s? Any one of a number of reality-shattering facts lay waiting just under the lid. But several bottle cap claims were exaggerated, and some were downright false (the average person does not swallow 8 spiders in their sleep in a year). We designed a MaxDiff to pilot test a few 🤯 facts in hopes we might supplant Snapple as the purveyor of (real) mindblowing facts.
The results are in: Among a list of bizarre and astonishing facts, Americans are most amazed by big, big numbers. The most mindblowing facts? The human heart beats more than 2.5 billion times in an average lifetime and the average cloud weighs about 1.1 million pounds.
